Philippine Consular Outreach Brings Services Directly to Las Vegas

Two days of on-site consular services for the Filipino community of Nevada.

On August 1–2, 2026, the Philippine Consulate General brought consular services directly to the Las Vegas Filipino community at 63fifty, 2nd Floor — 3700 Maryland Parkway, Ste 525H, Las Vegas, Nevada 89119. Over two days, community members were served on-site with passport renewals, dual citizenship applications, notarials, and other consular needs — without the travel normally required to reach a consulate.

A Night to Remember: FACAI Celebrates Mothers, Leadership, and a New Chapter of Service

Honoring motherhood, celebrating leadership, and recognizing a milestone in FACAI's history.

On May 9, 2026, the Filipino-American Civic Action International (FACAI) hosted its elegant and memorable Dama de Noche Gala, an evening dedicated to honoring motherhood, celebrating leadership, and recognizing a significant milestone in the organization's history.

The highlight of the evening was the recognition of Mother of the Year 2026, Atty. Nadia Juranis, whose unwavering dedication, compassion, and commitment to family and community embody the very essence of motherhood. Her accomplishments and service continue to inspire generations of Filipino-Americans, making her a truly deserving recipient of this prestigious honor.

The gala also served as the venue for the formal Induction of FACAI's 2026–2027 Officers and Board of Directors, ushering in a new era of leadership and community service. Leading the organization for the 2026–2027 term is Vice President Ron Sumbang, who — together with the newly inducted officers — reaffirmed their commitment to advancing FACAI's mission of promoting Filipino heritage, civic engagement, education, culture, and humanitarian initiatives.

This achievement was spearheaded by Atty. Virgilio "Bong" Longakit, whose leadership, dedication, and tireless efforts helped guide the organization through the process. As President during this important transition, Atty. Longakit's vision and commitment laid the foundation for FACAI's continued growth and sustainability for years to come.

As members, supporters, community leaders, and guests gathered in celebration, the evening reflected the spirit of unity, gratitude, and service that defines FACAI. The Dama de Noche Gala was not only a celebration of mothers and leadership but also a testament to the organization's enduring commitment to uplifting the Filipino-American community.

With a newly inducted leadership team, a strengthened nonprofit foundation, and a shared vision for the future, FACAI looks forward to continuing its mission of empowering communities, preserving culture, and creating meaningful opportunities for service and collaboration.
